Operating Edelweiss
This section provides clear and practical guidance to help you use the facilities and equipment at Chalet Edelweiss. If something doesn’t work as expected, or you need assistance, please let our team know—we’re here to help.
Connect to internet
Edelweiss is equipped with a high-speed glass fiber Wi-Fi mesh system that provides fast and stable internet throughout the property. Wi-Fi Network & Password details are provided on location.
Safety
Throughout Edelweiss there are fire extinguishers, fire blankets and we have some first aid kits attached to the wall in accessible locations.
Playstation & Streaming TV
In the basement we have the game room. The TV is logged in to Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. To use the play-station, turn it on and change the source.
Heating
There is a central heating. Each bed room has its own thermostat for heating. Adjust by turning the dial on the radiator. The central heating system can also be adjusted upon request.
Music System
The chalet has 2 SONOS speakers in the dining area, connected to the Wi-Fi system. Use the speakers by connecting to Wi-Fi and then stream to the speakers via Airplay, or alternatively download the Sonos app.
Drinking water
The tap water in Saas-Almagell is excellent and safe to drink. We connected a ‘beer tap’ to tap water for easy refills.
Using the Bar
Edelweiss has a bar in the living room with several devices.
Ice Cube machine
The device only has 1 button (on and off). Please turn (or keep) it off when you do not use the machine to presevere energy.
Dishwasher
The professional dishwasher for glasses. It doesn’t need any liquids (there are connected dispensors under the bar in the cupboard on the right)
Drinks & Beer tap
Your fridges are filled when you arrive, and teh beer is connected. Instructions on how to cahnge a beer keg are on the inside of the door behind the taps.
Using the Kitchen
The professional kitchen is surprisingly easy to operate. The freezer, fridge, stove, and grill plate will speak for itself.
Dishwasher
In the morning turn it on and give it 15 or so minutes to heat up. No need to add detergents (they are connected to canisters). If it doesn’t heat up, or if it shows ER01, the drainage is not connected properly. At the end of the day, take out the drain pipe, and turn it off. Once the water is pumped away, you can turn it fully off.
Trouble Shoot
Doesnt get warm or gives ER01
Take out the drainage (both the net and the pipe) and put them back. Its very important the pipe is pressed in straight hard. Make sure the open part is on top.
No more soap
Inform one of our staff. We have spare soaps in the laundry room.
Combi Steamer
Combisteamers are professional grade ovens with a build in most regulator. Use the advanced presets for cooking dishes or simply operate it manually. Set temperature, humidity level, fan speed.
Use the self cleaning feature after every coocking session, and use the cleaning tablet once a day.
