Features of Edelweiss
A great accommodation for larger groups does not stop at having amazing bedrooms. Actually, its the other spaces that make the difference.
Edelweiss Bar
Actually, its a combination of kitchen and bar. Of course the actual kitchen is in a separate space. This bar is in the shared communcal space and has fridges for the small drinks, an ice cube machine, professional glass dishwasher and two taps. One is connected for fresh tapwater, and the other one can be connected to your favorite draft beer upon request. There are also appliances such as SMEG bread toasters and water cookers, and a coffee machine.
Dinnerware and serving
Every year we stay ourselves as guests in Edelweiss. Because we just love it, and we learn so much. One of these things was that we learned that serving out food to 20+ people is a very different thing than your average dinner party.
One of our decisions was to keep the plates and serving bowls on open shelves. Large plates, smaller plates, bowls, serving bowls, salad bowls etc. etc.
A kitchen designed by professionals
We consulted two chefs to help us put together a kitchen for Edelweiss. You can be the judge, but so far, all our geusts love it. The 1400L fridge and 700L freezer make everone happy. Both chefs insisted on a Combi Steam Oven. Its a thing for professional kitchens, we never heard of it, but boy oh boy is this device cool. We have 5 electric stoves, a baking plate and deep fryer. All utinsils, sandwich press, blenders etc. etc. etc.

Movies, music, board games, and PS5
Carpet, loungy sofa, dimmed light, some instruments, selection of board games, and a BIG TV with active background light for extra immersiveness. Tune into your favorite series or chistmas romantic comedy.
Its not for everyone, but if you are a gamer, we got you. A PS5 with 4 controllers and a subscription to PlaystationPlus Premium giving you access to a massive game library.
The console is connected by wire to the glass fiber modem so online gaming without lag is guaranteed.
Game night!!!
Ticket to Ride, Wingspan, or the classics like Monopoly. We have a selection of dozens of board games, many of them in English.
Of course also plenty of card games (regular cards, Uno, etc.) and some fun things for the toddlers (colouring, simple toys)
There is also a bingo set which is great fun with the whole group, esepcially when you prepare some wonderful prizes. This we’d recommend doing upstairs in the dining area.
